NativeWay (Bangladesh) Limited is a turnkey Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing contractor that has been operating in Bangladesh since 2017. We are a subsidiary of NativeWay (Pvt) Ltd, Sri Lanka, which has a successful business history spanning more than four decades. We deliver HVAC, Fire Protection, Electrical and Plumbing solutions for industrial, commercial and infrastructure projects across Bangladesh.
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead project design and estimation. The engineer will guide a team of junior design engineers, and the role offers real scope to develop leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out design and estimation for HVAC and Fire Protection systems for tenders and projects.
- Prepare BOQs, cost estimates and technical proposals that are accurate, competitive and delivered on time.
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documents, and propose technically sound, cost-effective solutions.
- Lead, guide and review the work of junior design engineers.
- Coordinate with the sales, procurement and project teams on technical and commercial matters.
- Use modern design software and AI tools to improve speed and accuracy in design and estimation.
Requirements:
I. Educational Qualification:
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering or an Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
II. Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar design and estimation role.
- Strong hands-on experience in the design and estimation of HVAC and Fire Protection systems.
- Knowledge of electrical systems will be an added advantage.
III. Skills and Competencies:
- Strong engineering fundamentals and technical judgment.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
- Familiarity with, and willingness to use, AI tools in day-to-day engineering work.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, HVAC load calculation software and MS Office.
- Good communication skills in English.
